account manager work
In response to
this job advertisement, your personal statement may read:
I am a professional and efficient Account Manager
with 4+ years of experience working with an integrated product that provides
departments worldwide. I divide my time between managing a large number of
existing customers and interacting with potential customers to drive external
Door sales. I have strong communication and consulting skills that have enabled
me to exceed all my goals by 10 - 25% over the past four years.
It may be important to include job requirements in
other parts of your CV. Many of the above requirements can be demonstrated by
achievement, either in the history section of your work or in a separate
dedicated section.
Skills are
important
There are many important skills that employers look
for in active Account Managers. Some of these may be mentioned in a job
advertisement, but others are simply the status quo and may not be directly
mentioned. For example:
It is good for
building and managing relationships
Excellent
communication skills
Enjoy meeting new
people and building relationships
Confidence in
marketing
Strength
Good organization and management skills - you will
need to record sales and manage client records
Strength to handle stress - especially in months when
few clients have a purchase idea
The ability to deal with customers is difficult and
to change opposition
Willingness to do another degree
Good listening and empathy - understanding your
clients will help you make sales
Adaptability and flexibility - you may need to work
evenings or weekends to close the contract
It can deal with monotony - sometimes you can find
yourself making 200 cold calls a day in the same lines, many of which will lead
to rejection (therefore, firmness is important).

Remember that many employers use automated software
to process CVs, it is important to include keywords in your CV. Make sure you
therefore mention any key skills you have that the employer has requested
directly, using the same words from their ad. You should not, however, simply
write a skill without providing further proof of your performance in other
categories.
Summary of work
Your job summary should write your work history in
chronological order. It would be tempting just to summarize your job
description here, but this is not a requirement. Also, a job history should
have proof that you meet the job ad requirements of the job.
