Director General Vacancy At Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESC)
1 QESCO is one of the geographically
largest distributions Company of Electricity in the Public Sector serving more
than 650000 consumers having 6000 employees with annual revenue base of more
than Rs.85.94 Billion and consisting of operational area covering across Baluchistan
except Lasbela District. The Charter of QESCO is to provide reliable and safe
electric power supply to its consumers in its jurisdiction.
2. Company intends to create a new
department (MIRAD) for performing jobs under CTBCM. This new department (MIRAD)
will be headed by a D. G. (MIRAD) QESCO.
3. The Company intends to hire a dynamic
person for the post of D.G (MIRAD) QESCO. This position will provide leadership
and directions to Company for implementation of respective actions for the
development of competitive electricity market in Pakistan and its operation
afterwards. The MIRAD functions include bilateral power purchase contract
agreement, legal and regulatory affairs, billing and settlement with market
operator, demand forecasting and transmission planning. The department will be
interface of QESCO with competitive trading bilateral contract market (CTBCM).
4. Qualification: Bachelors or
cquivalent degree in Engineering Finance/Accounting Law/ Management Sciences
from reputable HEC recognized universities. A Master degree will be an added
advantage
5. Experience:
·
Minimum
15-years of working experience including 10-years of experience in the power
sector.
·
The
candidate should possess strong knowledge of the technical commercial and
financial matters of the utility business power sector along with regulatory
affairs, contract management, and legal issues. Knowledge of competitive
electricity markets will be an added advantage.
6. Age Limit:
·
Up to
55 years at the time of application.
7. Nature of
Employment:
·
The
employment shall be purely on contract for an initial period of three (03) years
with annual performance evaluation to be conducted by the Board of Directors
(BOD) QESCO.
8. Pay &
Allowance:
·
Equal
to MP-II scale.

after due date will not be entertained and claim whatsoever thereof will be
acceptable.
c. The candidates already working in
Govt Semi Govt Autonomous Public organizations can also apply through proper
channel along with NOC of their department issued on its letter head Candidates
shall be required to produce all original documents at the time of interview.
d. QESCO reserves the right to withhold
cancels the whole recruitment process at any stage without assigning any
reason.
e. Only short listed candidates will be
invited for interview/selection process.
f. No TA DA will be admissible for
interview/selection process.
g. All those candidates who have already
applied for the post of D. G. (MIRAD) QESCO against advertisement dated: 14
June 2021 and 5h September 2021, shall be considered on the basis of
application already received, therefore they need not to apply again it is made
